If you’re going to have Shakira performing on stage in a short skirt, it would probably be a good idea to push the audience a few feet back instead of having them right up close to the raised platform and looking up at the 47-year-old singer with their phones.

And so, Shakira cut things short and abruptly left the stage at LIV Miami, and will be hoping no NSFW amateur fancams find their way online. I mean, obviously there’s been a fair amount of deliberate upskirt moments throughout Shakira’s career, but it’s up to her whether she wants to make it part of any specific show, right?
Clearly she wasn’t feeling it on this occasion, but I’d say the blame lays more with the stage designer or whoever thought it was smart to get her up there without a longer dress or pair of trousers on. Or at least have her wear a pair of shorts under her skirt like tennis players do. Not to excuse whoever was filming up her skirt, but you could argue they didn’t have much choice from their vantage point. What other view was really possible?
