‘Get Out’ was undeniably the low budget movie success story of the year last year, having been made for only $4.5 million and going on to gross $290 million and receive four Oscar nominations for Best Actor, Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay (if for some reason you still haven’t seen it, maybe it’s best that you don’t keep reading as there’s going to be a couple of spoilers).

Obviously with stats like that, Hollywood is going to be sniffing around for a sequel or some kind of continuation of the franchise, although you would be forgiven in thinking that this might be difficult considering that the movie ended in a veritable bloodbath at the end with most of the villains meeting their timely demise. However, creator Jordan Peele has revealed that he hasn’t ruled the possibility of this in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

I can tell you I will definitely, seriously consider it.

I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell.

I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.

Well it sounds like he’s being a bit cagey about that but you’ve gotta think that he’s gonna be offered a lot of money to do it by some Hollywood bigshots so he’ll probably cave eventually. Chances are he can probably make a pretty good effort of it as well given how good Get Out was – it’s just we’re probably going to have to wait until 2021 or something to see the results of it.

In the meantime, check out the trailer to what people are calling the horror movie of the year for 2018: Hereditary. Looks spooky.
