The other week, 36-year-old Finnish PM Sanna Marin was accused by critics and opposition MPs of being coked up in a couple of clips that her ‘friends’ leaked to the media.

Here’s a reminder of the first video leak:

Followed by a second video in which Marin is seen dancing intimately with a man in a nightclub:

As the caption to the Tweet says, someone is heard saying the words ‘flour-gang’ in the background, which is Finnish slang for cocaine. Not a great look for the PM. Must also suck for her husband of EIGHTEEN years having to watch her get cosy with some guy in the club, especially in a clip that then goes viral.

Well it seems Sanna Marin can at least put one of those issues to bed, as it’s now been confirmed that she tested negative for drugs. As per The Guardian, the test, which was paid for by the PM herself, was taken August 19 and found no trace of narcotics.

Marin followed up with a statement saying she had never taken drugs, “not even in my teenage years”, which is pretty remarkable really. The prime minister said she had taken the test “for my own legal protection and to clear up any doubts”. She said she did nothing but “dance, sing, hug my friends and drink alcohol”, adding: “I hope that in the year 2022, it’s accepted that even decision-makers dance, sing and go to parties”.

Fair enough really. Now all she has to do is explain to her husband why she’s grinding some guy’s d*ck off in the club at 3AM. I guess blaming it on drugs is out of the question.
