Mickey Rourke has officially been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house by ITV bosses following several violations including making ‘homophobic’ remarks to singer JoJo Siwa, fat-shaming comedian Donna Preston, making Patsy Palmer cry, and finally, ‘offensive, threatening and aggressive’ towards Love Island’s Chris Hughes.
The most latter incident (set to air tonight) resulted in Rourke being called to the diary room and agreeing to leave the house.
A source revealed: “Mickey didn’t like Chris disrespecting him with the side eye and went for him with loads of smack talk.
“On this occasion it was offensive, threatening and aggressive.
“However it didn’t get physical and security nor producers did not need to intervene.
“Mickey was called to the diary room and in discussion about his ongoing bad behaviour, he agreed to leave.”
This means that Mickey Rourke won’t be receiving his full £500,000 fee, which the source also confirming: “Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV.
“If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they will be discussing that with him.
“Mickey was ready to leave the house and it ended up feeling like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much.”
Which is a shame really, because it sounds like he’s the only reason it may have been worth tuning into the show this year. I mean, we all knew Mickey Rourke was a total sleazebag who was going say and do inappropriate things, but isn’t that the whole point of Big Brother? To have celebrities offend each other and embarrass themselves? I guess there is a line and Mickey Rourke was about to cross it because clearly ITV were crapping their pants over what he might do or say next.
So to summarise, here are Mickey Rourke’s highlights from the Big Brother house:
– sparked outrage before even entering the house for ‘creepy’ behaviour towards the show’s host AJ Odudu.
– made JoJo Siwa cry with homophobic remarks.
– told Donna Preston she’d “probably be better off running around the block for ten minutes” when he asked her if she had saw any results from her LED face mask she was using.
– made Patsy Palmer cry by criticising her cooking.
– got into an overly heated argument with Chris Hughes.
Oh well, it was fun while lasted. Maybe send him back in there as a surprise later in the series when he’s calmed down?
Meanwhile, his former c0-star Bella Thorne has seized the moment to share her own experiences working with him on set. Spoiler = it wasn’t a good experience.
