Grime is a genre whose roots can be traced back a long way. Developing in the early 2000’s from the roots of Garage, Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop & Dancehall it has since progressed into a staple of British music.

Pure Grime sees Rinse DJ Sir Spyro chronicling the diverse and illustrious history of grime, featuring key artists and tracks from the genre’s early 2000’s heyday to the crossover hits of recent years. Spread across 2 CDs and 40 tracks, all of the UK underground’s biggest names are represented on Pure Grime, from Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, Skepta, The Streets, JME, Lethal Bizzle, Kano, & Ms Dynamite.

No corner of the genre is left in the shadows, with stand alone instrumentals and some of the biggest tracks featuring some of the most well known MC’s, Pure Grime touches on all aspects of the genre and takes you on a journey from the humble beginnings of Grime to the massively expanding empire it is today.

Kicking off with 2014’s grime crossover smash German Whip from Meridian Dan ft.
