Any time there’s Royal Family drama, you can always trust Piers Morgan to get involved, especially if it means an opportunity to have a pop at Meghan & Harry, and in this case, the author of the controversial new book on the royals, Omid Scobie.

In case you missed it, the Dutch version of the book, titled ‘Endgame’, was pulled off shelves after naming the two royals who Meghan Markle claimed speculated on the skin tone of baby Archie before he was born (a mortal sin, apparently).

Now, Piers Morgan has decided to cut through the BS and name the two racist royals so that we can all get on the same page about it:

‘I am going to cut through all of this c***. I am going to tell you the names of two senior royals who are named in that Dutch version of the book because frankly if Dutch people wandering into a bookshop can pick it up and see these names, then you, British people here, who actually pay for the Royal Family, you are entitled to know too.

‘And then we can have a more open debate about this whole farrago because I don’t believe any racist comments were ever made by any of the Royal Family, and until there is actual evidence of those comments being made, I will never believe it.

But now we can start the process of finding out if they ever got uttered, what the context was, and whether there was any racial intent at all – like I say, I don’t believe there was. The royals who are named in this book are King Charles and Kate Middleton.’

Well, I don’t know that the Royal family will appreciate Piers Morgan doing this, but I guess his desire for clicks and ratings outweighs any loyalty he feels he may have to King Charles and Kate Middleton, or indeed the rest of the royals. Besides, he’s positive that none of it is even true! So what’s the harm?

Anyway, I’m sure he double and triple-checked with his lawyers that this was OK to say on live TV. The question remains – how did this ‘translation error’ even occur (like Piers says, it makes no sense given that the original texts don’t name the royals), and who was behind it?
