I’m not the biggest fan of Piers Morgan as he quite often comes across as a pompous self righteous prat, but sometimes you’ve gotta give it to the man and this is one of those times.

Following the Finsbury Park attack on Monday night, former EDL leader Tommy Robinson was particularly vocal on Twitter (c’est la vie) saying that it was a “revenge attack” as the mosque targeted had “a long history of creating terrorists and radical jihadists and promoting hate and segregation.” Good Morning Britain invited him onto the show to debate his opinions, and Piers Morgan absolutely shut him down, reducing him to looking like a rambling imbecile that wouldn’t shut up.
The actual interview went on for 20 minutes, but here are the highlights:
That’s a pretty succinct argument there from Piers isn’t it? Clearly and concisely explaining his point whilst leaving Robinson to blab on about something someone said over a century ago.
I mean why is he even banging on about Sir William Gladstone and what he said? It’s been over 100 years since he was in power and things have changed a hell of a lot since then, so his views are pretty much irrelevant. Fairly sure that most people who watch Good Morning Britain don’t even know who William Gladstone is either – even I had to Google him, I’ll hold my hands up. Basically Robinson’s argument has no real basis in reality, no matter how many times he repeats it. Prick.
For Piers Morgan being his usual self, here he is threatening to kill a 12-year old’s cat on live television. Classy.
