There was another story about a nursing home hiring strippers to perform for their elderly residents over in Taiwan a couple of weeks ago and it seems like the movement is now going worldwide – although there have been some unintended side effects.

We’re over in Colombia at the Una Mano Amiga Foundation in Cartagena for this one, where those in charge again thought it would be a good idea to hire strippers to perform a show for their residents. Sadly though the women twerking in leather thongs and half naked men proved way too much for one old woman, who grabbed her chest and keeled over at the sight of them.

Fortunately, the medical staff hand’t vacated the building to let the old timers have their fun with the strippers and one of them sprang into action immediately, fetching her a bottle of water and making sure she was comfortable until paramedics arrived. Party organiser Nadia Cartagena said the following after posting the footage online:

I did not expect what happened to happen and the truth is that I am very sorry, I just wanted to give them some fun and I did not expect that situation, so I want you to comment on the situation.

Yeah not really sure if she’s going to get the positive feedback she’s looking for after that comment, especially if she’s also posting the footage of the woman having a heart attack online? Maybe there’s a different way of doing that kind of stuff over in Colombia and I’m way past the mark though?

Anyway, to make the situation even more bizarre, Nadia changed tact completely after a bunch of negative comments, claiming that the whole stunt was a hoax designed to capture the attention of the Cartagena Mayor’s Office and highlight how terrible the conditions in care homes were at the moment in the region. Do you think anyone is going to care about that when they see this headline and watch this video? I really don’t think so, do you? Fair play for trying though I suppose?

Not really sure what to make of all that other than to say that it’s a very weird incident and leave it at that? Hopefully some good as come out of it and conditions in care homes in Cartagena improve but I doubt this video is going to have too much of an impact. So weird.
