The manhunt is still on for 5 out of the 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish Prison in New Orleans last week, with over 200 police officers and the FBI on the case, and a $20,000 reward being offered for information that leads to any of their captures.
Hilariously, one of the escaped inmates, Gary Price, who was facing multiple charges including attempted murder, assault and domestic abuse, was recognised the other day taking a nap on a park bench. The New Orleans resident who found him promptly called the police and had him recaptured:

Incredible. I mean, if all you’re going to do after escaping jail is sleep all day in a park then you might as well go back to jail and have a better sleep in there? Imagine doing all the hard work of breaking out of prison only to have absolutely no plan of what to do once you escape. How serious can he really be about his freedom?
Meanwhile, another one of these geniuses, Kendall Myles, decided to hide in the most high profile area of New Orleans in the French Quarter. He literally went live on Instagram as soon as he escaped, and was soon tracked down and recaptured:

Listen, fair play to these lads for actually busting out of prison. That’s not very easy to do. But clearly, they are absolutely shocking at the hiding part.
Then again, 5 of the escapees are still at large, and it appears to be the older, more experienced ones. It’s possible that at least one of these men could be on the run for years to come, and my money would go on the oldest of the bunch: Jermaine Donald.
He’s charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery, and possession of a firearm, so he’s probably serving life in prison already. Now that he’s got an escape charge to add to that, he’s probably never getting out if they recapture him. So this is basically his last chance at freedom!
As you can see, he’s got long braids that he can cut off to disguise himself better. I’m not sure what his escape strategy might be exactly but he’s clearly too smart to go on Instagram Live or get caught napping on a park bench. Maybe he could carry out a few robberies and save up enough money for a backstreet face lift? Maybe chop off his fingers to avoid ever being fingerprinted, or mutilate himself in some way that renders him unrecognisable. At this point, he’s going to have to pull out all the stops if he’s really serious about staying free.
Most of all, he should probably just keep out of trouble. Let’s see if that’s simple enough to manage.
