As a footballer, it’s not easy to come across as a bigger prat than the fan sending you abusive messages on Instagram, but somehow Mykhailo Mudryk has managed it with his response to this disgruntled Chelsea fan following the 2-4 battering to Wolves on the weekend.

Rather than just ignore the DM like a professional/adult, Mudryk responded to the fan’s criticism by challenging him to a £10k 1v1 to prove that he, the pro footballer, is better at football than him:

In fairness to Mykhailo Mudryk, he did start the game on the bench before replacing the poor Raheem Sterling, and provided the assist for the second goal after he was subbed on. So it does seem like he’s being scapegoated a bit, considering that Chelsea have been leaking goals all season and are just generally crap despite having quality players on paper.

Still, it’s pretty hilarious that Mudryk responded to the message, let alone lay down the gauntlet for this anonymous fan for £10k 1v1. That’s like someone paying for a meal at a fancy restaurant, complaining to the chef that it was no good, and then the chef challenging them to a 1v1 cook-off to prove who the better chef is.

The only way this could be a worse look for him is if this lad accepted the challenge and then whooped Mudryk at his own game and took his money, but it looks like he’s puss1ed out in that regard. Might as well give it a shot tbh – what’s he got to lose?

Previously, Mykhailo Mudryk was called out for filming and shaming an elderly gym-goer. Someone take his phone away from him!
