Monica Bellucci is probably one of the hottest actresses in history, but she lacks the name recognition of most of her peers because she’s an Italian speaker and better known overseas than she is in the UK or US. Even though she’s been in major films like Spectre and the Matrix:

Even at 58, it’s fair to say that Monica Bellucci can compete with women half her age in the looks department. And she won’t mind me saying that because she just gave an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in which she credits the sexual objectification she experienced as a young model and actress in Italy for giving her such a great career:

“Being objectified didn’t bother me. When I felt that critical attitude towards me, I went along with it. Sometimes beauty creates masks.

And then I’ve also made the most of body in certain roles, haven’t I? Like in Malèna or Irreversible.”

So refreshing to hear a famous actress who went through life being ridiculously attractive tell us how appreciative she is for the opportunities her looks gave her, which of course she took full advantage of. If you listened to most Hollywood actresses out there, you’d think being a conventionally beautiful woman who gets paid millions to look amazing on camera was hell on Earth!

Meanwhile, Monica Bellucci acknowledges that her beauty was a gift and a privilege, and is more than happy to share it with the rest of us. Brilliant attitude!

So… sexually objectify away, I guess?
