A Hertfordshire police officer has been jailed for four months after he was caught on camera stuffing a pair of pink panties into his pocket during a search of a woman’s bedroom.
PC Marcin Zielinski, 47, stole the panties while he was carrying out a Section 32 search at the home of a woman who had been arrested for an unrelated matter and who was released with no further action taken:

What an absolute creep.
Seems an odd move to set up a Ring camera in your bedroom, but at the end of the day no one would have believed this woman if she didn’t have video evidence. Disturbing to think how often this sort of thing might have happened, with him and other police officers who are conducting such searches.
Zielinski admitted one charge of theft and a charge of corrupt/improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable, before being jailed for four months. Not too long a stretch but long enough for a disgraced police officer who will be hanging around the sort of people he would ordinarily have been putting in handcuffs.
Hertfordshire Constabulary Assistant Chief Constable Genna Telfer said: “Zielinski has let down the public of Hertfordshire, the police service as a whole and his former colleagues, who act with professionalism and integrity.
“His criminal behaviour damages the reputation of policing and represents a fundamental betrayal of the public and the values for which the police service stands.”
