More new footage from the Liverpool victory parade has been made available today, with this latest clip showing the moment police dragged the driver out of his car:

A few more details around the driver and the incident have also been released. Apparently the 53-year-old driver was ‘high on drugs’ at the time, and had tailgated an ambulance racing to a heart attack victim in order to catch a shortcut through the city (obviously, the street was otherwise closed to motorists during the parade).

The man is now being questioned on suspicion of multiple attempted murders, being unfit to drive through drugs, and dangerous driving. Although if you ask some of the readers on our Facebook page, the real culprit was secretly snuck away and switched with a white British male without anyone noticing! So who knows what the truth is?

Some 50 people, including four children, needed hospital treatment after the man ploughed through them at up to 30mph, but thankfully no one was killed. It’s actually a miracle given how many people he struck and how many went under the car itself. Although not as surprising as the fact the man made it out of there alive with thousands of Scousers ready to pound him into oblivion.
