A teenage model/student/influencer has fallen to her death while making a promo video for a parasailing firm at a holiday hotspot in Montenegro.
Tijana Radonjic, from Serbia, was hired by the company to parasail over the Budva Riviera while connected to a speed boat.
By all accounts, Tijiana was in a perfectly good mood before taking flight, but appeared to panic mid-air and unbuckled her seatbelt, eventually slipping out of her safety harness and plumetting into the Adriatic Sea Blow.

The owner of the parasailing company says Radonjic was in a good mood before taking flight: “Before we set off, she waved to her friends on the beach and they waved back. Everything seemed fine. We don’t know why she unbuckled her seat belt and harness and jumped out.”
“I guess she didn’t do it consciously, but in a moment of uncontrollable fear.”
Radonjic was on holiday with her aunt when the tragedy happened in Budva, Montenegro. Her family say she was not suicidal.
An investigation into the incident is now underway, but I’m not sure what other conclusions can be drawn from watching that horrifying footage. Strangely, the video actually does a good job of showing how normally safe you are in a parasail. Even after she unbuckled her belt, it took time and a concerted effort to free herself from all the safety equipment.
Is it really sufficient enough to say that Radonjic suffered a panic attack, though? If you were 150 feet up in the sky and panicking, wouldn’t you just hold on for dear life to the harness? Surely falling from a height is scarier than seeing through the parasail to the end. Could having a major panic attack shut down a rational mind completely?
I guess that’s up for the experts to decide as they investigate this awful tragedy. RIP Tijana Radonjic and thoughts with her friends and family.
