You see a lot of strange things in the MMA world, but I don’t think anyone ever thought that we would see a guy with no legs beating an able bodied athlete in a bout.

Crazily enough though, this did go down at the weekend after a 25 year old guy who was born without any legs named Zion Clark managed to beat a regular guy named Eugene Murray on points after three rounds of fighting. Clark is a college level wrestler who one day hopes to compete at the Olympics and he’s completely jacked too, so he definitely isn’t as useless as you might have thought when reading the headline above.

Check out the match below:

I just wrestle against able-bodied people, and I beat able-bodied people.

Now I’m fighting able-bodied people, and I’m gonna knock out able-bodied people.

It’s as simple as that. I’m a fighter.

Sadly Zion didn’t get the knockout, but he looked pretty useful inside the ring with his grappling skills didn’t he? I gotta say it did look a lot harder for Murray than I thought it would be at first because I wasn’t really thinking about the fact that he would be bending over the whole fight and wouldn’t really be able to hit Clark at all without leaving himself susceptible to a takedown/wrestling attack.

Probably harder than fighting a regular human to be honest, but fair play to Zion for overcoming adversity and being a complete and utter badass. You gotta respect that. Hopefully more to come from the guy in the future.

For more of the same, check out this guy with no arms or legs getting robbed and then completely battering the guy. They’re way tougher than they look.
