With the way clinical tests are going, there is a strong indication that the party drug MDMA is set to become legal by the year 2021.

According to experts, Mandy could revolutionise the way people with emotional and psychological problems caused by sexual assault, war and violent crime are treated.
Clinical trials using the substance for medical treatments will soon be carried out by researchers in the US, after being approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
At least 230 people will be involved in the trials, which will be sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Associations for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). If the trial proves successful, the class A could be available on the market by 2021.
Founder and executive director of MAPS Rick Doblin said:
The body of evidence that shows MDMA works is so strong and so encouraging.
Prior to its placement into the most restrictive category of drug regulation in the US and internationally, uncontrolled published reports suggested that the substituted phenethylamine 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), when administered in conjunction with psychotherapy, could yield substantial benefits for those afflicted with a variety of disorders.
It looks like another case of seeing what happens when the results come out. Fingers crossed they turn out positive (which obviously they will) and Mandy will soon be readily available to people with mental health issues. It clearly does help, even if you don’t have problems.
