It might not be the greatest idea in the world to wear a ‘World’s Best Farter’ T-shirt to your felony court case, but it’s also so ridiculous that you almost have to respect it. Although the Texas judge who was overseeing proceedings in this case definitely did not.
Jefferson County Judge Raquel West was not amused by defendant Sammy Morris’ fashion choice:

Now, in fairness to Sammy Morris, the T-shirt does include the text “I mean father” at the bottom…
… but apparently that still doesn’t make it OK to wear in court, according to the judge. I mean, she’s right of course. It’s a very silly thing to wear to court on the day that you have to defend yourself against a felony charge. But that’s kind of the point: it’s so silly that you almost have to laugh and just let it slide. Also, what if it’s a statement of fact? What if this guy really is the world’s best father farter? Clearly, she doesn’t think much of that accomplishment.
Then again, maybe he should have played it safe and worn a suit, or literally anything other than what he ended up wearing. The judge also scolded him for not having an attorney to represent him during his appearance, so I guess that goes to show how unbothered he is about the whole situation.
It’s unclear for what felony charge Sammy Morris was appearing in court for, but it would be so perfect if it was fart-related. Indeed, you can get in serious trouble for that these days.
