Man Calls Police On Black Men Using Shared Office Gym, Loses Office Space After Going Viral (VIDEO)

F-ck this guy.

As if we hadn’t already seen enough racist dumbassery out of Minneapolis, Minnesota this week, a white venture capitalist has today been kicked out of the city’s We Work office space after racially profiling a group of black men who work in the same building.

The man, since identified as Tom Austin, had a hard time believing that these black dudes also rent an office in the building, and called the cops on them:

What an absolute nerd.

Sure enough, turns out these guys run Team Top Figure, a social media consulting company, out of the same building and have been doing so for over a year. In fact the company has since evolved from social media to also running their own podcast and expanding into E-commerce. Sounds like it’s all been going pretty well for them.

Well Tom who I guess is the male equivalent of Karen obviously had no idea and assumed these boys had broken into the building or something. Here’s Tom’s apology via Complex:

Yes, I fucked up.

Should have handled it differently.  Building management had been complaining that tenants were allowing their friends to trespassing and use a private gym that was authorized only for building tenants.

I noticed that one of the tenants seemed to have brought 4 friends and I complained to them that this isn’t right and it’s unfair to the tenants who pay.  One guy was letting his other 4 friends in and out of the building with his FOB.  Nobody else had a FOB.

When I said something, they got in my face in a very threatening manner and so I threatened back to building call security.  I would have done this regardless of race.  In fact, I told them I’d have done the same thing if they were white, or even a bunch of girls who were trespassing.

Tom says he’s surprised by the backlash because he worked out with the men for 45 minutes after apologising for making them feel like it was a race issue. Even still, Tom has now been booted out of the We Work office building himself, as obviously they don’t need the negative publicity especially in the same week Minneapolis is burning down over another race issue.

In fact the amount of racist footage coming out these last few days is unbelievable – it was only this past weekend that Central Park Karen went viral for calling police on a black man for no good reason.
