Bit of an awkward moment at the UEFA Champions League final at the weekened as UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov joined the panel following the game; shaking hands with Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and iShowSpeed, before leaving Kate Scott hanging.

Now obviously Khabib wasn’t trying to be a d1ck here, he was just following the rules of Islam which forbid any man from touching any part of a woman unless they are related or married. Devout Muslim 101!
Fair play to Kate Scott for how she handled it as she quickly realised what was happening, apologised and moved on from it like it didn’t even happen. There’s a reason why she’s the GOAT of sports presenting in 2025, which many online were quick to reiterate following the incident.
There’s another section of social media that’s instead choosing to focus on Khabib and regarding his refusal to shake Kate Scott’s hand as ‘backwards’ and ‘misogynist’, but come on, how are you going to hate on Khabib? The man is a GOAT in his own right too.
Well anyway, it’s definitely been noted by any female presenter who may have the opportunity to meet Khabib in the future. No handshakes necessary.
