Steve Carell and Jennifer Aniston both obviously made their names starring in two of the most iconic television comedies of the past couple of decades and have both gone on to have fairly spectacular careers in the movies as well, so it is a big deal that both of them have signed up to star in a new TV series called ‘The Morning Show’.

‘The Morning Show’ is going to be the flagship series to herald the launch of Apple TV, another brand new streaming service. Fantastic -You’re probably thinking that there’s not much that would make you sign up to another one of those bastards, but ‘The Morning Show’ might actually make you feel differently after you read the synopsis and check out the trailer:

Executive-produced by Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who star alongside Steve Carell, ‘The Morning Show’ explores the high-stakes world of morning news and the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning.

Told through the lens of two complicated women working to navigate the mine field of high-powered jobs while facing crises in both their personal and professional lives, ‘The Morning Show’ explores ego, ambition and the misguided search for power.

I mean that synopsis isn’t that hot, but the trailer is something else, as is the fact that all three of them will also be joined by Billy Crudup (Watchmen), Mark Duplass (Creep), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror: San Junipero). I reckon this is definitely going to be a show to watch – the only trouble is finding someone who’s going to pay for Apple’s streaming service, because it isn’t going to be me, no way.
