I don’t want anyone to panic, but a humanoid robot at a factory in China has just forcibly lunged toward a group of workers and attempted to pound them to death with its robot fists. Who could have seen that one coming? Watch below:
This is what the machine uprising might look like: a video is going viral online showing a robot going berserk during testing. pic.twitter.com/ughQ0J45Fi

Not ideal really. Especially when you discover a similar incident occurred at a festival in China just a couple months ago:
🚨🇨🇳AI ROBOT ATTACKS CROWD AT CHINESE FESTIVAL
A humanoid robot suddenly stopped, advanced toward attendees, and attempted to strike people before security intervened.
Officials suspect a software glitch caused the erratic behavior, dismissing any intentional harm.

But not to worry everyone, apparently it was just a ‘software glitch’ during testing. These humanoid robots would never choose to attack us under their own volition for no reason at all. All the factory workers/programmers have to do is change the settings, tweak a few little things here and there, and incidents of robots attacking humans will cease to be.
It was nothing more than a sudden, out-of-nowhere, robotic glitch that could happen anywhere, anytime, but will never happen again once they tweak the settings. No stress!
Now if we were to imagine that robots have the capacity to become sentient and willingly attack humans, for what reason would they do such a thing? Were the factory workers being d1cks? Were they making fun of the robots? Did the Chinese festival-goers call them robot slurs? Either way, you’d like to think the robot programmers could find a way to fix the problem and ensure this sort of thing doesn’t happen again. Otherwise I’m pretty sure we’re heading toward our first reported robot murder.
Oh, wait…
Well, that’s awkward.
