If you ever break your spine doing something idiotic then you may as well capture it on camera and share it with the world, just like Russian influencer Mariana Vasiuc has decided to do this week after attempting the viral Stiletto Challenge.

The trend involves wearing a pair of high heels and balancing on a random object, and was inspired by Nicki Minaj doing something similar in her ‘High School’ music video. Here’s how it panned out for 32-year-old Mariana, trying this just 8 weeks after she gave birth, btw:

After all that, the f***ing moron filming managed to drop the camera and miss the actual moment of impact, although I’m not sure that we need to see it given what we know now. Even still, Mariana will be feeling like the cameraman/woman let her down harder than that tub of Nutrilon. Useless!

Mariana was left with a compression flexion fracture to her spine; a small break in a vertebra (the bones that make up your spine). Not great, but obviously could be a lot worse.

Beautician Mariana wrote in the caption: “I decided to start blogging, the first content shooting – and here I am leaving the doctor diagnosed with a ‘compression flexion fracture. The irony? Karma? Or just life, which always tests our strength at the most unexpected moment.”

She’ll have to wear a back brace for three months while she recovers, so let this be a warning to anyone out there who is thinking of trying something similar.

Then again – it is pretty epic when it goes right. This woman has racked up 60+m views by balancing on two nail varnish bottles! Very cool:
