I’m not really sure what to make of bots at present – are they smart? Are they useful? – but when one of them comes up with something like this then I am all for it.

I guess this was some kind of social experiment performed by a comedian called Keaton Patti to show the true use of bots. He decided to make a bot watch 1000 hours of stand up comedy and then told it to write its own version of what he had been watching and well, the results speak for themselves.

This is probably the funniest thing I’ve read this month, no joke:

Well there you have it. Genuinely think that that’s probably funnier than most of the stand up comedy I’ve seen in my life, but for reasons that don’t really make any sense. Also because I haven’t really seen much stand up comedy in my life. That’s always a big factor. But yeah hopefully this bot writes some more because I am very into what they’re doing. Really.
