I can’t really say that I’ve ever really been that fashionable a guy, but I honestly can’t understand why anybody would want to wear jeans with grass stains on the knees and understand even less why someone would want to pay $600 for the permanent privilege, even if they are Gucci.

This however is the latest fashion trend courtesy of the famous brand, who are selling the eco washed organic denim pant for £600 or $773. Here’s the product description:

Channelling the Fall Winter 2020 collection’s grunge vibe, this wide-leg denim pant is crafted from organic cotton specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect.

Gucci explores new takes on the cult fabric, reinterpreting it with different designs and washing techniques that blur the line between vintage and contemporary.

That’s a fancy way of saying that they’ve put some grass stains on the knees, isn’t it? Still can’t comprehend why anyone would buy these as you could literally get a more authentic look from buying a cheap pair of jeans and then rolling around in your garden or the local park for a bit, but I expect they’ll fly off the shelves and some celebrities that I’ve never even heard of will soon be pictured wearing them out and about on the town, whether we end up in lockdown again or not. 2020 is a funny old time.

For more of the same, check out their £688 blackface jumper from last year. They had to withdraw that one.
