I don’t think there are two more polar opposite people on the planet than Greta Thunberg and Donald Trump, and so it makes sense that they’ve butted head this week over Greta’s excursion to Gaza, and her subsequent deportation after her boat was seized by the IDF.

When asked if he had a comment about the 22-year-old activist, Trump told reporters that Greta is a “strange person” who “has to go to an anger management class”:

Bit of a pot meet kettle situation there, surely?

As Greta arrived in Paris following her deportation from Israel, she was made aware of Trump’s comments and responded with the following:

“I think the world needs many more young angry women, to be honest. Especially with everything going on right now. That’s the thing we need the most of.”

Greta was then asked by reporters if she could clarify whether she signed papers to recognise that she illegally entered Israel:

“I did not recognise that I entered the country illegally I made it very clear in my testimony that we were kidnapped on international waters and brought there against our own will into Israel.”

On the attempt to deliver aid to Gaza with he rest of the crew on board the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s vessel:

“Right now [it is] more important than ever because of the siege and because of the the systematic starvation of over two million people, and the and the full-blown live stream genocide,” she explained.

“This was a mission of attempting to once again bring aid to Gaza which is desperately needed and but also to to send solidarity and say that we see you, we see what is happening and we cannot accept just see witnessing all this and doing nothing – that can never be an option.”

Listen, say what you want about the girl, there’s no denying Greta Thunberg has balls of absolute steel to be putting herself in front of the world like this and risking everything in order to, at the very least, raise awareness of the atrocities being committed in Gaza. Pretty impressive for an autistic 22-year-old old who the world has been taking the p1ss out of for a number of years.

Israel continues to deny any allegations of genocide, but won’t allow any journalists into the country to verify for themselves. Well, unless your name is Douglas Murray, of course.
