If you’re planning on going to Glastonbury this weekend then you might want to pack your wellies because it looks like it’s going to be a wash out and it hasn’t even started yet. The whole Glasto site has been flooded and pretty much resembles a mud pit right now.
And it doesn’t look like things are going to improve. There are sections already flooded under a foot of water and with more rain to come it’s gonna be an absolute nightmare finding a dry spot to set up camp.
This is all a result of the heavy rain that we saw on Friday and Sunday and as said, weather reports have predicted more rain today and for the rest of the week. Classic English summer. Obviously if you haven’t got a ticket then not to worry, but if your mates are attending then you might want to warn them because it ain’t gonna be an easy ride.
The Met Office have said that while it could potentially dry up if we see some warm spells over the weekend, it is likely that Saturday will be the wettest day of the festival. I bet them Cagoule salesmen are gearing up their stock because they are gonna be raking it in.
Gutted to anyone who is going, although I’m guessing if you’ve been before then you’re probably prepped for shitty weather because this is a pretty common occurrence. On the plus side, at least you’ll get a visit from the one and only Jeremy Corbyn to cheer you up.
