Flat-Earthers Are Putting Up Signs On Beaches To ‘Prove The Earth Isn’t Round’

Despite the fact that science has already proved that the earth is round, flat-earthers continue to try and promote their side of the argument by coming up with the most ridiculous theories to back it up.

Every time they do this (like the guy who took a spirit level on a plane), instead of reinforcing their point, they just end up looking even dumber than they did in the first place. And today’s story is no different.

It turns out that some have even been putting signs up on beaches over in New Zealand that try to argue that the world is flat because, “it’s sea level, not sea curve.”

Good one guys. The sign points people towards a book by Eric Dubay – ‘The Atlantean Conspiracy: 200 Proofs The Earth Is Not A Spinning Ball’. In this book, Dubay says:

NASA and modern astronomy maintain that the Moon is a solid, spherical, Earth-like habitation which man has actually flown to and set foot on. They claim the Moon is a non-luminescent planetoid which receives and reflects all its light from the Sun. The reality is, however, that the Moon is observably not a solid body, it is clearly circular.

Okay… Anyway, Dr Stephen Voss who shared the picture of the sign said:

I was unaware of any local flat-earth group, so it is a bit of a surprise.

Of course this sign may just be from a single nutter rather than a whole group of them. I’d like to think us Kiwis are a little less susceptible to this nonsense.

I know who I’m siding with on this argument – don’t worry Voss, we don’t think all Kiwis are flat-earthers.
