It looks like Joey Swoll has realised that apologising to the online outrage mob is never a good idea, and has now returned to social media just days after emphatically announcing that he was quitting the internet for good.
Swoll says he is done apologising for the Hulk Hogan drama (people were upset that he paid tribute to the Hulkster following his death, given that Hulk had said a few racist things in his lifetime) and says he’s not going to allow anyone to cancel him:

“Love me or hate me, I am not going anywhere and you are not going to cancel me.”
“I just needed a few days to step back, to breathe, to get my mind right. And over those few days, I received thousands and thousands of messages from people telling me do not quit.”
“So I am not quitting and I am done apologizing.”
“I’m going to continue making videos, calling out bullies, being a voice for the people that can’t defend themselves, and making the gym community and the world a better place as I have done for years.”
That’s the spirit, Joey! Besides, I’ll almost positive that none of the losers who attacked him over his Hulk Hogan tribute even go to the gym anyway, which means they’re not even his core audience. Who cares what a bunch of perpetually outraged incels on the internet think? Especially when it comes to something so uncontroversial as Tweeting an RIP message to Hulk Hogan – a man who inspired Joey Swoll on his fitness journey years ago.
Still, it’s pretty lame that someone who’s meant to be so self-assured apologised to the mob in the first place. You would think Joey Swoll had bigger balls than that. Oh well, at least he sacked up eventually.
