President Trump seems to have completely lost the plot when it comes to the Epstein Files; running much of his campaign on the promise that he would release them to the world, and now claiming that they never even existed and that the whole thing was a hoax made up by the Democrats.

No one with a brain actually believes this, and so the backlash against Trump has been great, even from a considerable section of his own MAGA fanbase. In response, Trump put out a lengthy post on Truth Social in which he calls those who keep banging on about Epstein “my PAST supporters who have bought into this “bullsh*t,” hook, line, and sinker.”

Incredible. He even tells them “I don’t want your support anymore!” Why is he so aggressively reluctant to talk about Jeffrey Epstein and the Epstein files anymore? Well, I think we all know why.

His assertion that it was all a big Democrat con also makes zero sense. Trump is the one who said he’d release the files. The Democrats have historically been the group who did *not* want to give the Epstein case any attention. The only people who told us we’d get some transparency was Trump and his administration.

Look how flustered Trump got the other week when a reporter tried to ask about the Epstein files:

I suppose Trump thought he could put out this statement and that his supporters would just believe anything he says because they’re simply that stupid. Which is true for some of his base, but there are also many who aren’t letting this slide, including public figures who endorsed Trump on his Presidential run like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Joe Rogan.

It’s straight out of the Trump playbook, really: call anything that can hurt him a hoax and hope his supporters lap it up. Not on this occasion, it seems. Let’s just hope this controversy isn’t forgotten about and replaced with something else in a month’s time.
