You Can Now Snort Chocolate Offering A High ‘Similar To Ecstasy’

The good stuff.

What happens when you take one of the most addictive foods ever and make it so that it can only be consumed in the same way as the most addictive drug ever? Total carnage, that’s what.

Coco Loko (great name) is a snortable chocolate offering a high ‘similar to ecstasy’ and sells for $19.99 online via the Legal Lean company in Florida (there’s a surprise).

A description on the website reads:

A sudden rush of serotonin will produce an elevated mood and state of euphoria similar to the feeling of ecstasy. This is the feeling that will make music sound better and overall happiness.

Nick Anderson, Legal Lean owner and CEO, said he did not consult with medical experts before selling the product. He got the idea after the craze hit parts of Europe a couple of years ago. So that’s reassuring.

Get a load of this madness:

Seems a trustworthy bloke eh?

Nick says:

I didn’t consult with any medical professionals, I basically just saw what was going on with Europe. There was no health issues, it’s been out two, three years, everybody seems fine, it’s very popular.

There’s really no negative publicity so I thought we’re good to go.

Asked if the product is safe, Dr Jennifer Ashton said:

In medicine and science we like decades ideally, or many many years, tens of thousands of patients — we just don’t know, that’s the short answer.

But to be clear, when there are stimulants involved, we know that there can be physiological effects on the body.

It can increase the heart rate, it can increase blood pressure, obviously it can give a jolt of energy, and potentially — if you’re talking about high doses — these can be significant.

Even more worryingly, the product has the FDA baffled for now:

The FDA will need to evaluate the product labelling, marketing information, and/or any other information pertaining to the products intended use.

So yeah, it’s important to remember that very little is known about the product and what possible side-effects snorting chocolate could have, so think about that before you order any of this stuff. If you do decide to try it though, shoot us a message on Facebook and let us know how it went.
