Wimbledon has been in full swing for the past week but I imagine most of the country hasn’t really been that bothered about it after both Emma Radacanu and Andy Murray were knocked out fairly swiftly. They’re probably even less impressed after this Cliff Richard ‘performance’ from yesterday.

There was a big celebration on Sunday as 100 years of Centre Court were celebrated with tennis icons such as Billy Jean King, John McEnroe, Roger Federer and Bjorn Borg all showing up to pay tribute to the iconic venue. It’s well known that Cliff Richard is a big fan of Wimbledon, but the crowd was less than enthused when he decided to spontaneously break out into an a capella performance of his massive hit from sixty years ago ‘Summer Holiday’.

A few people clapped along but it seemed like the biggest ‘sympathy’ clap I think I’ve ever seen. Kinda tragic seeing so few people care about a legend like Cliff Richard, but I suppose he is 81 years old now and not that many people care about him anymore and his sorta tragic attempts to get involved with this celebration:

Geez that was cringe inducing wasn’t it? I guess you should feel sorry for the guy, but it’s just such a bizarre scene and kinda indicative of where this country is collectively at this point in time. What a joke.

Wimbledon continues this week if you’re interested. Think Djokovic and Nadal are still involved and some other people that nobody has ever heard of before. OK way to kill a couple of hours I suppose.

For more of the same, check out when this ball boy got clocked staring at Serena Williams’ butt at Wimbledon once. Those were the days.
