Transgender issues never seem to be far from controversy and I’m sure that this latest piece of news is going to send the woke warriors and anti woke brigade at each other’s throats once again after the Cambridge Dictionary decided to reveal their new definitions of ‘man’ and ‘woman’. Which side do you think they’re going to come down on?

Well, the fact that they’re changing them should make it pretty obvious shouldn’t it? Without further ado, here are your new definitions:
A man is an adult who lives and identifies as a male though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.
A woman is an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.
As you can imagine, people are already going crazy with all kinds of hot takes over on Twitter. Probably won’t be too long until Elon Musk himself gets involved too, as he recently said that he lost his transgender daughter to Neo-Marxists and doesn’t seem very happy about it. Of course.
Anyway, take a look:

It’s mad how people think they can just change dictionary definitions to suit an unpopular ideology. Women have not been asked if they’re okay with being erased like this.

Yeah, as predicted the TERFs/whatever you want to describe them as going mad out there over this one and for once I think I might almost agree with them? I do want transgender people to feel included and not threatened of course, but changing the dictionary definition to include them here does seem a bit much at this stage when there’s already so many people against them and almost like it’s only going to incite more hatred and division and that this probably could have been predicted. Not sure if it was the best move. The people that it has triggered are probably never going to accept them anyway, so maybe it isn’t that big a deal, but it seems like the more people talk about it the more people are just gonna be angry about it.
Anyway, I can’t even pretend to know what to say about this so I’m just going to leave it there. Try and be nice to trans people as they have enough shit to deal with anyway and I doubt that many of them even wanted this to happen in the first place. I don’t think anyone chooses to be trans and they’re just trying to get through life like you faced with a hell of a lot more discrimination and the threat of violence etc. Remember that.
