I’m not sure if the Grammys is actually the major event that it seems to think that it is, but there was enough stupid content from the show last night that I was at least aware that they had happened this year.

Front and centre of this were the memes of Ben Affleck looking as if he would rather be anywhere else in the world than sitting at the Grammys on a table with his wife Jennifer Lopez. Of course, Affleck has previous for this kind of meme in the iconic picture of him standing outside his house smoking a cigarette with the weight of the world on his shoulders, but this one from the Grammys has a whole new energy about it.
The most famous clip of him looking sad from the event comes during Stevie Wonder’s performance where literally everyone else in the crowd is having a great time listening to some of his iconic tunes and Ben looks like he’s about to go over the trenches in World War II. That last shot really is the icing on the cake isn’t it? Dunno why Ben is having such a hard time but he literally looks like he’s about to burst into tears at any moment and I am there for it.
Hope he managed to enjoy himself at the after party, although the smart money might have been on him going straight home considering he looked like he was having such a crappy time. Cheer up soon Ben, at least you’re going home with Jennifer Lopez these days.
