Jeff Monson, otherwise known as “the snowman”, is an American Mixed-Martial-Arts champion, anarchist and all-round badman. Not only does he fight for a living, he goes round pissing off ruling elites at the same time. Here he is walking into the ring for a fight in Moscow with President Putin, Prime Minister Medvedev and the Klitschko brothers watching on, blaring out the USSR’s 1977 national anthem to the obvious discomfort of the suits watching on.

It’s a strange choice of song as there’s no love lost between anarchists and Soviet-style socialists. As early as 1867, anarchist Bakhunin declared that although “liberty without socialism is privilege and injustice. Socialism without liberty is slavery and brutality”.  Maybe I’m reading too much into it though and it’s just good banter. Watch Putin at 2:11 probably trying to organise an assasination.
