Despite accusing him of shocking sexual and physical abuse, Amber Heard has claimed in the most recent snippet from her Today Show interview with Savannah Guthrie that she still loves Johnny Depp after everything that’s happened between them.

Watch below:

Would any survivor of what she claims Johnny Depp did to her say something like that? I’m not so sure. In fact I genuinely think that if Johnny Depp asked her to get back together with him she would do it in a heartbeat. Even the fact she’s giving this interview after taking such a brutal L in the trial suggests she doesn’t want to let the trial go, because it’s her last connection to him.

You can watch Part One of the Today Show interview below, in which Guthrie grills Heard and calls out some of the issues with the complaints re the unfairness of the trial:

At one point Guthrie brings up the famous quote that Heard said to Depp: “Tell the world, Johnny. Tell them ‘I Johnny Depp am a victim of domestic violence,’ and see how many people believe you.” Heard tells Guthrie that’s just a 20 second snippet from a 3-hour conversation, to which Guthrie then asks where the entire clip is and why it wasn’t used as evidence. Amber Heard’s only response to that is to say that she’s not a lawyer. Welp, I think we can all agree on that one.
