It was only a couple of months ago when protestors decided to blow up a big fat balloon of Donald Trump and fly it over London in protest to his visit, and now some people who may or may not be pro Trump but are definitely anti Sadiq Khan have decided to retaliate by blowing up their own Sadiq Khan balloon.

These protesters were initially triggered by the Donald Trump balloon and convinced that if they targeted Sadiq then their balloon would not be able to fly. Instead, it seems like this isn’t the case at all and the balloon will set sail on Saturday morning between the hours of 9:30am and 11:30am over Parliament Square.

Here’s what the official Crowdfunder for the balloon said:

Sadiq 2

In light of the Donald Trump ‘Baby Trump’ balloon being allowed to fly over London during his visit to the UK, let’s get a ‘baby Khan’ one and see if free speech applies to all and whether or not Mr Khan and the London assembly will also approve this.

Under Sadiq Khan, we have seen crime sky rocket to unprecedented levels. People in London don’t feel safe and they aren’t safe, 81 murders this year alone! Khan Out.

Any surplus money raised will be used for a continuing campaign to remove Sadiq Khan from office and also for defending free speech which is constantly under attack.

I mean it all sounds fair enough really – you can’t really argue that a lot of people have been murdered in London this year and it doesn’t really seem like Sadiq Khan has done much to sort it out, despite what may have been his best efforts.

The fact that the campaign itself managed to raise £50,000 for the balloon implies that people aren’t too happy about his tenure either. Not sure what this protest is going to achieve in regards to that though except maybe a lol because they’ve dressed Sadiq in a yellow bikini – a reference to the ‘Beach Body Ready’ advert he banned in 2016 – but then I don’t really know what the Trump balloon achieved either. Swings and roundabouts.
