Here’s a ‘social experiment’ we can get behind — an anonymous businessman has kicked off the UK’s biggest treasure hunt by hiding envelopes stuffed with cash around the UK.

So far people have used clues he’s dropped on his @hiddencash_UK Twitter to find envelopes containing £50 in Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield, and he doesn’t plan on stopping soon.

Anyone who manages to find his cash treasures are asked to Tweet a picture as proof.

The man said: “I’m in a fortunate position to be able to give away money on a daily basis at the moment. I have had a few businesses in e-commerce that have done really well for me. I get more of a kick out of that than I would spending £50 on myself.”

Come to London! It’s time for expansion. A blogger’s dream: blog in the morning, treasure hunt at night. You just keep dropping those clues and I’ll keep collecting the cash. A lot of people might get mad at this guy for not giving any of his money to charity (as far as they know), but at the end of the day who says a millionaire can’t have a bit of fun giving his money away? Can’t we be happy for normal people who work soul-crushing 9-5s to get in on some free money too?

Big up anonymous rich dude — setting a great example to other rich dudes.
