End Of The World

So today is the end of the world. How are you planning to spend your last day on earth? I think I’m gonna drive back to Birmingham with a couple of buddies and get baked and maybe stop of Buddies USA in Northampton for some food. No scrap that we are definitely going to do that. I don’t think there’s a better way to ring in the apocalypse then hanging out with your buddies at Buddies USA. And if the world doesn’t end after that we get to go back to Birmingham which pretty much looks and acts like the end of the world so we won’t even be disappointed. If I was in Manchester though I would definitely hit up the Sick Chirpse Black Friday Meltdown Party tonight at Joshua Brooks – it’s going to be a big one.

To celebrate the end of the world today, this YouTube user called CriticaDaqueleFilme (which is probably one of the dumbest YouTube usernames ever) has uploaded a video collage of 38 of the best end of the world scenes from 38 different movies. So if we’re lucky/unlucky depending how you look at it we might be experiencing some of these scenes later today. Or they might have already happened because I wrote this yesterday. But yeah you’ve got the tidal waves, the famous landmarks being destroyed, the meteor showers, the planet crashing into earth, zombie attacks, nuclear bombs, etc etc, the whole shebang is here. The dude even put a really cool Nine Inch Nails track on it too that just makes it sound really apocalyptic and desperate but also kinda funky and cool. It’s just a great video and if anything is going to get you pumped up for the end of the world, it’s probably this. I’ve enclosed a list of all the films used below the video if you’re curious. No, I haven’t heard of all of them either.
