Back in the 1940s, America wasn’t the world superpower that it is today and it was all Little House On The Prairie, with much of its population living rurally and adopting a grass roots kind of lifestyle. They were in the throes of World War II and as such were economically, culturally and politically affected by this in their everyday lives.
