Tourette’s Campaigner John Davidson Shouts N-Word At Michael B Jordan And Delroy Lindo At BAFTAs
BAFTAs host Alan Cumming thanked the audience for their “understanding” after a series of audible outbursts from Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson interrupted the ceremony.
One incident saw Davidson shout the N-word while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage:

Oof, every Tourette’s sufferer’s worst nightmare? Although if your tick is yelling slurs, you would think it might be a good idea to not turn up at a live televised event where you can’t help but blurt out N-words. Or is it ableist of me to say that?
Davidson, the inspiration for BAFTA-nominated “I Swear,” was diagnosed with Tourette’s at 25.
The film was nominated for six awards and won three on the night, so I guess Davidson was never going to miss his big night, even if it did come with a risk of yelling the N-word at two big time black actors on stage.
Host Alan Cumming told the audience: “You may have noticed some strong language in the background there, this can be part of how Tourette’s syndrome shows up for some people as the film explores that experience.”
