5.Edinson Cavani (Napoli V Juventus, January 8th 2011)

Edinson Cavani got 33 goals for Napoli last year in all competitions and looks like a completely awesome player. It probably won’t be too long until one of the big clubs picks him up. This is an amazing diving header as the ball is really low down so he could probably have kicked it, but he dives and kind of slides into the ball and gets a load of power behind it. It’s cool. Watch out for Cavani.

4.Zlatan Ibrahimovic V Lecce (AC Milan V Lecce January 8th 2011)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a pretty frustraing player. Capable of awesome stuff one minute (like doing kick ups with chewing gum) then capable of being completely shit the next minute. He seems like a bit of a twat too. This goal though is brilliant. It’s just a long ball up the field, one touch to control it and hold off the defender, then he nonchalantly taps it in from about 25 yards. He didn’t even look like he hit it hard but it went so fast.

3. Alexis Sanchez (Udinese V Palermo February 27th 2011)

Everyone has heard of Alexis Sanchez as the world’s biggest clubs are fighting over his signature this summer. In this game, Udinese managed to beat Palermo 7-0 away from home and Sanchez bagged 4 of them, subsequently becoming the only Chilean player to do so in Serie A – not even Marcelo Salas managed it. This is the pick of the bench as a swift counter attack powered by some great passing leaves Sanchez one on one with the keeper and he manages to do a couple of stepovers and take it round the keeper before smashing it in.

2. Andrea Pirlo (AC Milan V Parma, 2nd October 2010)

Andrea Pirlo isn’t really known for his goalscoring record but more for his awesome passing and awareness – this is a screamer though. He picks the ball up around 35 yards out, there isn’t much going on so he drives forward a bit and then taps it into the top corner. It’s special because it just sort of glides into the top corner – kinda like he passed it – but he probably had to hit it quite hard to get it in there.

 1.Edinson Cavani V Lecce (Napoli V Lecce December 10th 2010)

This goal completely rules and again highlights why Cavani is so awesome. After Diego Forlan retires I don’t think Uruguay are gonna have any trouble up front with Suarez and Cavani. Anyway in this goal it’s the 2nd minute of injury time and 0-0, Lecce have a shot cleared off the line, the ball finds its way to Cavani on the haflway line who skips past two or three players and then slams the ball home from about 25 yards. Bang. Absolutely amazing commentary on this too. Never heard somebody shout goal so many times.
