Lynyrd Skynyrd – Sweet Home Alabama 1974 vs Warren Zevon — Werewolves Of London 1978

Sweet Home Alabama, the biggest hit for Lynyrd Skynyrd had a very basic but recognisable chord progression. The same chord progression was used 4 years later in Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London” which was named after the 1935 Stanley Bergerman movie. Another “fun” fact is that Kid Rock used both songs to come up with the passable “All Summer Long” in 2008.
