It would seem pretty bold to release a new movie while Barbie and Oppenheimer are still dominating the box office, but the producers behind Aussie horror film ‘Talk To Me’ have done just that, with surprisingly good results.

‘Talk To Me’ was released in UK and Irish cinemas just a week after Barbie and Oppenheimer got their first screenings, and has already set a new box office record for Altitude Films, with over £640,000 grossed after its opening weekend.

Check out the trailer:

Reviews from film critics and moviegoers alike have been seriously good, with the Independent calling it the “best horror film of the year”, and The Evolution of Horror saying it’s the “best possession film since The Exorcist”. High praise indeed!

Most impressive though is its near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score:

Cinema is back, baby! Who knows, maybe releasing this film a week after Barbenheimer was a stroke of genius, seeing as people clearly have their appetites back for the big screen. Long may it continue. Can’t wait to check this one out on the weekend.
