The second half of ‘Stranger Things 4’ dropped on Friday and I imagine that most people who want to watch it as this point will have done so by now, but just in case you haven’t then be warned – there are going to be at least a couple of spoilers in this article.

So, if you’re reading this far then you’ll know that Eddie Munson didn’t make it out of the season finale alive, after deciding to sacrifice himself to those scary bats in order to buy the guys some more time to defeat Vecna. Not really sure if that actually did anything and needed to be done to beat the big V, but ‘Stranger Things’ fans don’t want his death to be in vain so have decided to start a campaign to get ‘Master Of Puppets’ to number one.

Everyone is well aware that Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ has hit number one as a result of it featuring in the show, so one fan posted on TikTok asking why we couldn’t do the same for the song that Eddie shredded on his guitar in one of the most iconic moments of the season. It’s racked up 100,000 views, 14,000 likes and a whole bunch of comments, but will that be enough to get Metallica’s classic track anywhere near that number one spot?

@sonicwill.i.am10 Don’t get me wrong, I love Running up that hill and glad we got it to the top but let’s bring this song to the top as well. Such an epic song and was perfect for Eddie to play! #strangerthings #eddiemunson #masterifpuppets #number1 #metallica #fyp #upsidedown ♬ Master of Puppets – Metallica

I’ve gotta say it probably won’t. As much as people liked Eddie’s character and he had a great arc, most people can’t stand metal music and probably won’t be buying the song for that simple reason. ‘Running Up That Hill’ was a dreamy pop song and used a hell of a lot more in the show, so that’s why it’s had the success that it’s had and I sadly can’t see the Metallica track following suit. Would love it if it did happen though. Obey your master!
