One time when I was 17 it started to hurt when I pissed. Cracked and told Mum almost immediately, called docs, it was 10 at night so had to wait til the next day for treatment.
Just a urine infection, no hassle, right? Tablets for a few days and I’d be better. But the symptoms kept coming back. Just after my 18th birthday I was told I would probably never recover, and was discharged; the NHS gave up.
It was the most painful thing of all time, I genuinely thought it was divine punishment for all the sickies I pulled in school.
Two and a half years later I found treatment online. It was caused by tension in pelvic muscles.
