10) Pantera
It may surprise some people to learn that Pantera started out as big haired buffoons too. They actually released four glam albums throughout the 80’s and looked ace whilst they did it. I heard a rumour that once they’d developed their harder vibe they attempted to buy up all their older albums to destroy the evidence of their past gayness. I dunno if that’s true though?
Their guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot dead on stage in 2004 by a deranged fan who blamed him for Pantera’s split. RIP Dimebag, proper legend.
