Piers Morgan Has Defended Holly And Phil Over Queue Jumping Scandal

It’s kind of crazy to me that everyone is so angry about Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby skipping the queue to pay their respects to The Queen – surely Philip Schofield groomed some 18 year old and cheated on his wife a couple of years ago but was instead heralded as ‘brave’ when he came out after an attempted blackmail? – but I suppose it just sums up this country at the moment doesn’t it?

Anyway, Piers Morgan hasn’t exactly been in the news that much since he started his own show on GB News, but obviously he’s waded in on this one in a desperate attempt to stay relevant and of course he’s brought his own hot take to the matter. Here’s what he had to say:

All hell broke loose about this, they have been subject to, I think, a ridiculously over-the-top campaign.

20,000 people have signed a petition to have them fired. Of course they shouldn’t be fired, it’s ridiculous.

It may have been a misjudgement. I said myself on this show, I don’t think anyone should have been jumping the queue full stop, whoever you are, unless you are a world leader and there is a time issue

Full disclosure, I am a good friends with Holly and I feel very sorry, she is absolutely distraught I think about the reaction.

Thanks for that full disclosure there Piers.

Anyway, Piers Morgan normally spouts a lot of crap and goes against the grain just to be controversial and get clicks/views, but I gotta say I agree with him here. It’s such a strange thing for so many people to get angry with them about when there’s literally so many other things that about them that are more deserved to get angry.

This is normally how people end up going down though, so maybe this is going to be Phil and Holly’s time? So stupid that jumping the queue is what could actually be the end of them, but also just so typical.

For more of the same, check out how many people have signed the petition to get them fired. Quite a few.
