Everyone – well some people – was fairly surprised yesterday after Trump declared himself to have beaten Coronavirus following two days of treatment and discharged himself from Walter Reed Hospital to go back on the campaign trail because the medical advice throughout this entire pandemic has stated that you needed to self isolate for two weeks once you were diagnosed with the virus for fear of spreading it around. I guess Trump is just different hey?

Anyway, there are obviously a bunch of conspiracy theories surrounding this whole situation ranging from the ‘this is just a photo-op for Trump and he never actually had Coronavirus’ camp to the ‘he’s actually really badly infected but is just talking shit’ camp and it looks like the former of these might be correct after a number of worrying details emerged in the last 24 hours. Firstly, the daughter of Kellyanne Conway – one of Trump’s most trusted advisors – Claudia said the following on TikTok regarding his condition:

It’s worth bearing in mind that Claudia previously leaked details of her own mother contracting Coronavirus – which were eventually proven correct – and seems determined on reporting what’s really going on in The White House during this period, so maybe we can believe her on this one? But there is way more to this than just her comments.
Next up, Trump’s own doctor came out earlier in the day on Monday and said that he was improving but ‘wasn’t out of the woods yet’ which would seem to be a direct contradiction of what the President himself said:
“Over the past 24 hours the president has continued to improve.”

That sounds slightly better and maybe still isn’t cause for concern, but the most worrying part of all this – well depending on how you feel about Trump of course – comes courtesy of this video of the President returning to The White House after he’s taken his mask off and looks as though he’s struggling to breathe. A couple of confirmed medical doctors remarked that this is one of the major signs of respiratory distress which again would imply that he’s still very much sick with the Coronavirus and hasn’t beaten it at all and probably shouldn’t be out of hospital:

Well, make of all that what you will but given all these separate sources of evidence and the fact that Trump has lied about something literally every single day that he’s been in office for the last four years, I think it looks like he probably did contract COVID-19 and it is still affecting him now. I would say best of luck to the guy, but the way he seems to be so flagrantly spreading it and not following any scientific advice on how to deal with it and just doing his own thing kinda makes me feel like he’s not worth it. Break a leg, guy.
