What I’ve been wishing for from the beginning, and I know it won’t happen, is that at the last minute, after parking outside the compound with a car full of weapons, Walt has a moment of clarity and realises he’s not cut out for all this. He drives off and leaves his unappreciative family, criminal record and life of crime behind him. He meets a nice woman and starts a new family, changing his name to Hal and fathering three sons – Walt’s second life is documented as the hit 90s show Malcolm in the Middle.
