It always seems to be bad news any time we write about Bam Margera, but this time it’s especially bad as TMZ reports he’s in hospital battling a very serious case of pneumonia, complicated by a positive COVID-19 test.

The Jackass legend is being treated in a San Diego ICU, with doctors putting the 43-year-old on a ventilator. Already this year, he’s been in and out of rehab after abandoning a one-year treatment program for drug and alcohol abuse.

According to TMZ, he’d befriended a dodgy lawyer who managed to get him out of the court-ordered program. So naturally he’s been getting hammered again, and there were even rumours his family were putting him under a Britney-style conservatorship, although his family shot those rumours down.

Obviously what’s important now is that Bam pulls through this so he can have another crack at getting sober again. Being on a ventilator with pneumonia is bad enough, but having COVID on top of it? You can’t help but worry for the guy. Even still I hope his dad creeps into his hospital room one night and rocks out on an electric guitar on full volume before beating the shxt out of him and letting off a few fireworks. Perfect revenge for all those years he would terrorise his old man on Jackass:

Get well soon, Bam.
